Droid Turbo with Android Marshmallow Update
Android 6.0 Marshmallow is here, now users anxious to take advantage of the new update are just waiting for their turn. Countless Android users have been asking and discussing when they’ll finally get the newest version. For Motorola’s Droid Turbo users, the wait may be almost over.
Thanks to their fast updates, Motorola has made a good name for itself. But the Marshmallow rollout could hurt that image. Seeing as their upgrading plans don’t seem to include either the Moto E versions or some carrier versions of the Moto X, some users may be missing out. But the Droid Turbo is still on the list to receive Marshmallow, making the lucky cut as one of the few older smartphones to receive the update at all.

Motorola kicked off the update for the Moto X and Moto X Style as early as November 12th, but the first markets were available in Brazil and India. Soon after, in December Marshmallow rolled out to Moto X Pure users on US carriers such as AT&T, Sprint, and US Cellular as well as the Moto X, the 2014 Moto X, the Moto G, and more.

Reports have emerged as of December 14th that Marshmallow is landing on Motorola Moto X Style handsets, including UK users. And Motorola’s Moto X 2014 edition has begun receiving the new software update on December 17th. Handsets in India and Australia have also apparently already received the update as well, but no news yet specifically for Droid Turbo users.

As Droid Turbo is a Verizon exclusive phone, some Verizon employees have claimed to have already received the update for their Motorola Droid Turbo 2 Employee Edition, which is basically a limited edition red Droid Turbo for Verizon employees only.
Droid Turbo, Droid Turbo 2, and Droid Maxx 2 users are now confirmed to receive the official over-the-air update of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. However, Motorola hasn’t revealed any exact timing for rollouts yet. According to latest news, Motorola is determined to release the overdue software updates very soon.

Depending on the carrier, roll out times may vary. Therefore, Motorola could be faster to release the latest version of Android to certain carriers, as there’s no set exclusive release dates yet.
The company has promised to work quickly to ensure their users get the upgrade, but it may take some time as they are reported saying they “have high standards,” so to “look for more news on the timing in the coming weeks” and to “stay tuned for more details on upgrades for specific devices.”

Tips for Developing an Android App: My Lessons Learned

Hi! I’m Ivan and I’ve been an Android app developer for quite a while now. Or so it seems. Back in the day (we are talking about 2009), Android was just an infant and I watched the Little Green Man grow ever since. I’m afraid some time ago, Android managed to outgrow me.
Nowadays, Android is not just on tens of thousands of different phones and tablets. It’s on your wrist, in your living room, in your car, and as soon we start assigning IP addresses to inanimate objects, it is going to be pretty much everywhere around us. A lot of ground for even an experienced Android developer to cover!
Also there are over one million apps just on Google Play, not counting Amazon AppStore or markets we are not generally interested in, like China.
So, how can an independent developer create a successful app in this huge market with big players? I have no idea, I haven’t made a successful app! But, I have made a cute one, and I’d like to share my story with you.

Lesson 1: Connect The Dots

Success (usually) doesn’t happen overnight and this is not my first app. I have ones ranging from unexpected over-the-weekend development hits like Macedonian Orthodox Calendar, with over 30,000 users in a language that no more than 4 million people can understand, to more successful failures like TweetsPie, an app with heavy media coverage and a terrible user-base of just over 600 active users. A lot of lessons there!
While these apps helped me understand the mind of the “elusive creature called the User” a bit better, the one that inspired me was a two-hour project. Originally developed to make me a millionaire, once 1,428,571 users purchased the app as Google takes 30 cents out of every dollar, The Dollar App was made to test my merchants account.
Little did I know that years later I will receive an email from a happy mom stating that it was the best dollar that she ever spent since her boy was smiling every time my app gave him a hug.
Android app development for beginners can be simple and fun when scaled effectively.
And that’s how an idea was born! Why not use the fundamental human need for a hug and make it pretty? Make it for a specific audience, interactive, challenging, fun to use, and even more fun to share.

Lesson 2: Understand The Android Market

All the things I mentioned above added up to a live wallpaper app. The basics are not that hard to guess. Android has a bigger market share than iOS, but iOS users purchase more. Messaging apps are wildly popular, but freemium games top the earnings. China, India, Brazil and Russia are emerging markets, but lack spending habits. You can read the App Annie Index for more insights.
So how does a live wallpaper app fit into this? First of all, it eliminates most of the platforms since a live wallpaper is an Android thing. Second, this feature was added in Android 2.1 so it has a large community and quite a few beautiful examples. Most notably Paperland and Roman Nurik’s open source Muzei, probably the best reference point for Android development.
While there are lot of live wallpapers out there, most of them fall under the scenic/weather category, and very few fall under the cuteness overload category. This is something we wanted to change and offer something that gives you a smile each time you unlock your phone, even though you unlocked it for a completely different reason. We gave you a cute little bundle of joy to hug you before you go to bed at night, or when you turn off your alarm in the morning. And even better, make it personal and customizable.
Without further ado, and before we go into technical details, I proudly present you: Ooshies - The Live Wallpaper
Ooshies is the name of my Android app. It may not have been successful but it helped me learn the lessons needed to write this guide for beginner Android developers.
It features:
  • free live wallpaper app that gives you hugs
  • 12 unique ooshies to choose from
  • free, un-lockable, and purchasable content
  • current weather updates
  • social login and data sync
  • seasonal greetings
  • many surprises
  • a ninja cat
  • did we mention hugs?
Successful Android apps sometimes just make you smile.

Lesson 3: Try To Make It Happen

Ooshies seemed like a pretty straightforward Android app idea. Paint a background, overlay some clouds and stars, put a bear with a balloon on top, and you are good to go. But no, it’s Android! What seems easy is often quite difficult and we tend to repeat the same common mistakes over and over again. Here’s a quick rundown of the challenges I faced:
  1. Hardware acceleration - why draw using the CPU when the GPU is so much better at it? Well, it turns out that drawing bitmaps on a canvas cannot be hardware accelerated. At least not for the time being.
  2. OpenGL - if we want hardware acceleration we need to use OpenGL ES or even better a framework that does most of the work for us.
  3. Bitmap loading - a well known memory consumption issue. We need to allocate 1 byte [0-255] of memory, for each channel in the #ARGB, to display a single pixel. Also the images we use often have higher resolutions than the device’s display. Loading them all will quickly result in OutOfMemroyException.
  4. Home launchers - the live wallpaper will be hosted in the home launcher process, and different launcher tend to give different callbacks to the live wallpaper service (most notably Nova and TouchWiz).
  5. Battery life - if not done right, the live wallpapers and the widgets can drain a lot of battery. With all the buzz about the Lollipop (Android 5.0) terrible battery life the first app to go will be the live wallpaper.
So, overlaying a bitmap, painting it on a canvas, and then switching frames on touch to give a hug, doesn’t seem like a big deal, even when if it is done on the CPU, right? Thats right, it’s not a problem. But, who wants a static live wallpaper? It beats the purpose. The wallpaper should respond to your touches, it should move as you scroll your home screens, it should perform random acts of kindness and make you feel happy.
And there is an Android development trick for that. There is a term called the parallax effect for adding depth in a 2-dimensional space. Imagine yourself driving a car. The house closer to you moves faster than the mountain in the distance. Same effect can be achieved by moving objects in different speed on a canvas. Although, they are all in the same plane, your brain perceives the faster moving objects as closer to you. Much like adding drop shadows, the parallax effect adds a z-axis.
And this is where all hell breaks loose! On most devices moving the Ooshie, the weather overlay, and the background, at different speeds, yields significant frame rate drop. Here’s how a single frame is drawn:
    canvas.drawBitmap(background, 0 - offsetX / 4, 0, null);
    canvas.drawBitmap(weatherOverlay, 0 - offsetX / 2, 0, null);
    if (!validDoubleTap) {
      canvas.drawBitmap(ooshieNormal, positionX - offsetX, positionY, null);
    }
    else {
      canvas.drawBitmap(ooshieTapped, positionX - offsetX, positionY, null);
    }
The offset is a percentage of the distance user has scrolled. It’s a callback that the wallpaper engine provides:
    @Override
    public void onOffsetsChanged(float xOffset, float yOffset, float xOffsetStep, float yOffsetStep,
                                 int xPixelOffset, int yPixelOffset){
      super.onOffsetsChanged(xOffset, yOffset, xOffsetStep, yOffsetStep, xPixelOffset, yPixelOffset);
      // athe current offset should be a fraction of the screen offset to achieve parallax
      if (!isPreview()) {
        float newXOffset = xOffset * 0.15f;
        wallpaperDrawHelper.setOffsetX(newXOffset);
        if (isVisible() && hasActiveSurface) {
          wallpaperDrawHelper.drawFrame(false);
        }
      }
    }
I must note that all of this would be unnecessary if I knew how to work with OpenGL! It’s on my TODO list, since anything more complex than what we have now will require a hardware acceleration. But, for the time being I have to work harder, not smarter (I’m open to suggestions in the comments). So here’s what we did:

Lesson 4: Work With What You Have

As a big supporters of the minSdk=15 initiative, from the start we eliminated all the 2.x devices. The effort for maintaining backward compatibility is greater than the possible revenue from users unable\unwilling to upgrade their phones. So, in most cases, we’ll be able to achieve smooth experience with an added option to disable the parallax if desired.
Per this Android development guide, I wanted to give the option to disable the parallax.
Another big optimization is how we handle the bitmaps. A very similar parallax effect can be achieved with drawing two bitmaps instead of three:
  1. Ooshie overlay - trimmed and carefully scaled Ooshie bitmap (can be accessorized)
  2. Combined overlay - a combined background and weather bitmap that moves with a fraction of the Ooshie speed
This Android development trick saves memory and speeds up the drawing time, for a slight parallax effect degrade.
When scrolling the home screens, frames will be drawn quite often (ideally more than 30 times per second). It’s crucial not to draw them when the home screen is not visible (some lock screens, some app drawer, opening/switching apps etc.) to minimize the CPU usage.
This is all tied closely with the weather updates. Initially there was a repeating task, executing every hour or two, to sync the weather, but it was really an overkill. If the user cannot see the wallpaper, the weather info is irrelevant. So now, weather updates happen only when wallpaper is visible.
    long lastUpdate = prefStore.getLong(SharedPrefStore.Pref.WEATHER_TIMESTAMP);
    if (System.currentTimeMillis() - lastUpdate > Consts.WEATHER_UPDATE_INTERVAL){
        // update the weather if obsolete
        Intent intent = new Intent(getApplicationContext(), WeatherUpdateService.class);
        startService(intent);
    }
So, basically, here’s the checklist for a memory optimized smooth software bitmap drawing:
  1. Combine bitmaps once
  2. Draw less bitmaps
  3. Redraw only on demand
  4. Avoid background tasks
  5. Offer users some control over the process

Lesson 5: Test. Test. Test

I cannot stress how important this is! Never, I repeat NEVER, release your app before testing it! And, I don’t mean that YOU should do the testing. You wrote the code, you know how it works, and you influence the result by knowing the expectations. I’m not talking about JUnit testing (although recommended), but about staged rollouts i.e. alpha and beta testing.
If you are into Android software development the terms are straightforward, but here is a quick rundown:
  1. Alpha testers - a small group of people consisting of your teammates and people from the industry, preferably Android developers. Chances are they are going the have high-end devices and will play around with the developers options. They’ll send you stack traces, bug reports, and even give you some code/UI optimization tips and tricks. Perfect for early releases with partial/missing features.
  2. Beta testers - a much broader audience with various demographics. Stable releases should be published here. Even if your ninja level is too damn high, you can never predict, let alone account, for all the possible Android distributions and ways people use their phones.
Once we passed the alpha, I thought we were done. But, boy I was wrong?! Turned out that not all Android users have Nexus devices with the latest software! Who’d know? :)
Here are some Android development issues based on this revelation:
  1. Different launchers have different default home screens - usually the first or the middle one, and ,as far as I know, there is no way of knowing it’s position.
  2. It’s hard to center the Ooshie without knowing the default home screen position - thus the settings slider for adjusting the parallax offset.
  3. An average user doesn’t know what parallax offset means - much simpler terminology should be used on the settings page.
  4. A random user will suggest your next feature.
So I would like to thank all our beta testers for the hard work they did. I hope that getting all the latest features before anyone else is a decent reward for their dedication. If you’d like, you can also be a part of our Google+ Beta Community.
Beta testing is a critical step for Android beginners to keep in mind as they begin programming their successful Android apps.

Lesson 6: Let The Data Speak

Making an Android app that stands out today is a bit more difficult than making a calculator app, when there were none back in 2009. Making the perfect app is hard. Mainly because perfection is in the eye of the beholder. What is good for me, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good for you. That’s why it’s important to let the app grow. Our roadmap checklist for new features shows that we have enough work for the whole 2015. Among other things we’ll soon include:
  1. Sounds
  2. Seasonal backgrounds
  3. Customizations (background color, weather packs, ooshie skins, etc.)
  4. Region specific ooshies (ex. babushkas)
  5. A lot of new ooshies and ways to unlock them
Now, we might have kept the app in beta until all is done, but that way we are throwing away valuable data. Not all beta testers will dedicate a portion of their day to send you the feedback. That is where you can benefit in using tools for getting the feedback. You can use Google Analytics, Flurry, Mixpanel, Crashalytics, ACRA, etc. to collect usage data.
For example, by analyzing the data we noticed that users don’t click the settings button a lot, so we made it more apparent and added a quick tutorial for tweaking the settings.
Although this is a background process, it can be used to further improve the user experience. Why not show the user how many times:
  1. he/she received a hug
  2. how many rainy days were brightened up by a smile
  3. how many taps were needed to unlock an Ooshie with a mini-game
  4. how many friends installed the app because of you
Every Android development guide should tout the importance of Google Analytics in optimizing your app!
This is important because it provides consequences for their actions. Don’t make the same mistake our educational system does, making the users passive content consumers. Make them in charge. Give them the option to control their own devices and create their own personal experience. If you manage to package all this into a cute bundle that steals a smile on the first splash, than is not too far fetched to ask the user for spammy favors for content unlocking.
In the end, you need to evolve your Android app development based on this data as a guide. Although primarily intended for moms/kids, this app may become popular in other demographics. It may not fit into our original vision, but users needs must be met. Otherwise they’ll find someone who can.

Conclusion

Let’s return to my most successful failure TweetsPie. Despite couple of awards and huge media coverage, the app failed to retain it’s users (the reasons why are beyond the scope of this article).
Success is not always apparent. Thanks to the whole experience I learned a lot. I gave, at least, a dozen lectures on How (not) to fail as a startup on various events and hackathons, and managed to get a couple of clients at Toptal.
Even more important, I try not to repeat the same Android development mistakes with Ooshies by following the tips and tricks in this guide.
To wrap up this long guide, what we define as a success is, at later stage, tightly coupled with what we set as goal in the beginning. The most common success measure is, of course, making a lot of money. No matter if your app makes it or not, you must try to make it happen, and believe me at the end you’ll become a better person (hopefully one that manages to learn OpenGL). You’ll make new friends, few enemies, and if you are lucky/smart enough you’ll make a lot of users happy.
You can check our website or download Ooshies to give it a try.

Hot game! Star Wars Android Download
Star Wars is an institution and can not count the number of the saga created around video games. The latest is "Star Wars: Uprising" published by Kabam. It bridges the gap between "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Alarm".

Let us put us in history: Darth Vader kills the Emperor Palpatine, but died shortly after. Luke manages to escape just before the destruction of the Death Star. It happens on the planet Endor where rebels celebrate their victory. The film thus stops here, and it is unclear result. In the video game of Kabam, there is talk that the Empire did not collapse with the death of Palpatine and the resistance must always face the stormtroopers.

Star Wars: Insurrection, is a kind of MMORPG where all players compete Empire. So, cooperation is emphasized necessarily with the ability to customize characters and team. The choice of class is yours, but of course.

Assassin's Creed Pirates
We did not know what to expect by downloading Assassin's Creed Pirates. It's not easy indeed to imagine how such a prestigious game, and also intimately connected to PC and console game play could be properly adapted on Android.  In fact, it seemed impossible. This then is an understatement to say that Assassin's Creed Pirates surprised us: just always pulling, leaving the superfluous, and completely embracing the touch interface.
Assassin's Creed Pirates

 Before anything else, note that the game is priced at $4.88 and contains no in-app-purchase, no limit game, no pay to win.

Secondly, we must now warn you that if you hope to compare this game with it's series "Assassin's Creed," you may be disappointed. Assassin's Creed Pirates could just as well have indeed being named "Pirates of the Caribbean."  But it would not have made any difference. If you are looking for an excellent pirate game that will captivate you for hours and keep you sitted alone in your room, then this is the game for you.

In Assassin's Creed, this game has kept the naval battles of the fourth album, Black Flag. You can not run on ropes and jump from platform to platform to murder the captain of the enemy ship, but you will do everything else such as, shoot the ball, the barrel pivot, dodge enemy bursts, harpooning loot, accept missions, search for treasures.

Game modes galore

Every stage of the game has indeed its own game mode.  Some of the basic game movements are; aiming and dodging, which are performed by tapping the finger on the phone screen, walk around the environment, treasure hunting is done at the telescope in "sniper mode", etc.

To furthermore, Assassin's Creed Pirates also has tactical aspects, as in the assassination missions, involving stealth killing to slip between enemy ships to reach a target, and which are played by plotting a course on the map, or management aspects, with the improvement of the ship, the crew, and the constant search for treasures.

 For all these reasons, Assassin's Creed Pirates is a good game. And it also has a nice gameplay. This indeed succeed to plunge into the atmosphere of piracy with its 3D graphics at the forefront of what is done on tablets, and its sound effects and soundtrack would get you thinking after "Pirates of the Caribbean" unprecedented.

Assassin's Creed Pirates is up for sure.

Next Lock Screen Android Security
Next Lock Screen is an android security guard developed by Microsoft teams Garage. The primary purpose of Next Lock Screen is to protect your android device from unwanted hands. The principle is simple, it's a lock screen that offers applications when you need it. The application locks your android phone when you leave your device without touching the screen for some time.
Android Screen Security
On an LG G2, sometimes the LG screen unlocks a second before Next Lock Screen. This only happens when Next Lock Screen is not running in the background (that is when you have cleaned your RAM either when you close the application). Task killers like Clean Master thus disturb its full operations a bit. Fortunately, it consumes almost nothing, less than 1% of the battery.
Operation:

If you do not use necessarily the same applications at home, in the car, at work or at school this app will make your life easier! Getting started is easy, customization is good and the application is stable overall.

 So you have 3 modes: "At home" "At work" and "On the go". You can change the wallpaper and the applications you want to use in the current mode. Basically, the application provides a sample for each of the three modes. You can add or remove applications like the setup functions (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, rotation, flashlight).

It still lacks some features. Events, calls and messages that appear as notifications are opened with the native applications (LG messaging and calendar) and it is not possible to define the applications to open them. Right from your locked screen, you have the ability to recall the contact you have missed a call or simply delete the notification.

Lock Screen Setup

 In the settings tab you have access to some parameters (basics, advanced and Privacy & Legals). In basics, you will find the unlock screen customization features. You can enable or disable the lock screen, change the wallpaper of the three modes and share the application with your network. You can also choose the number of events that appear in either, one, two, or all three.

The advanced tab contains three options: hidden apps that allows you to hide some applications, that is prohibiting Next Lock Screen to display the contents of the notification of certain applications. Manage calendar cards can choose the accounts managed by the application to display only the content of the agendas of the those that interest you. Finally, you can view your SMS without content, equivalent to a "private" mode.

 My opinion: an almost ideal application

Next Lock Screen is a very interesting application, but the recency makes perfectible. A few glitches here, a few delays here and there. The inability to change the default application for SMS notifications and calendar  is the main defect point of this app. There should also be the ability to avoid using simultaneously, Next Lock Screen and the default lock screen of your phone, sometimes resulting in some minor annoyances. There should be a complain to the developers by pointing out that when one removes the notification of the call or SMS (or other) on the unlock screen, the notification can not be removed in the notification drawer your smartphone.

The application will delight those looking to organize their applications dice the lock screen. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is required at minimum, to use this application.

Mortal Kombat X android version
  Finally, I'm flexing Mortal Kombat X android version after it's release on early May 2015.  It's quite an interesting game with an awesome graphics.  The game has an APK file of about 38mb, and a Data file of 1.58gb.  So this entails that, your android device should have a RAM of at least 1gb, and a free memory space of about 512mb (Or there about).  If your device does not meet these recommendations, Mortal Kombat X will definitely crash if you try to open it, or you'll experience some slagging during game play.

  As stated above, Mortal Kombat X Android version was released by Warner Bros and NetherRealm Studios early May 2015.  I’m a lover of Mortal Kombat games, and I’ve played the game on almost all devices except IOS.  The game is simple and cool, though you can’t move freely around the environment like some other combat games.  But don’t be bordered about that, because its display system helps you to have a closer and better view of the action during game play, and you’re going to enjoy that.
Mortal Kombat X Android Game

  Mortal Kombat X features two different modes, which includes; single player and multiplayer.  In single player mode, you’ll have to select three characters that will play against your opponents (computer).  While in multiplayer mode, you’ll be fighting against your friends, which requires an internet connection and app called ‘play games,’ which you’ll be prompted to download when opening the game for the first time.  Mortal Kombat is designed in such a way that you’ll have to select three players amongst your squad.  At first, you’ll have three default fighters, and you’ll unlock more fighters as you play and win combats.

  Unlike other games where game keyboard patterns are drawn on the screen, Mortal Kombat X  does not have such feature.  This can confuse a novice, because the control might seem difficult to the person, thus, making the game irritating.  Just like my friend, when I was about to download Mortal Kombat X android version, he told me that the game is just a waste of time.  What irritates him is, it does not have keyboard drawn on the screen.  He almost discouraged me, but I summoned courage.  I made up my mind to see for myself.  After downloading the game, I followed the instructions on it and wow!!!  It was great.  All you need to do is to be tapping and sliding the screen when either is recommended.  That’s all.  Nothing is difficult in playing the game.

  As I said earlier, some major characters can’t be used from the starting point, but you’ll have to play on, win matches, etc to unlock them.  The first player I unlocked is Sonya Blade.  She’s faster than the default fighters, though they’re all good fighters.  As you progress and win combats, you’ll win cards which may contain new players, upgrades, weapons or other boosts.  To me, Mortal Kombat X is the best series of Mortal Kombat games.  If you doubt it, go download it, play and see yourself the awesomeness of Mortal Kombat X.  What I love most about this game is you don’t need to spend anything.  Downloading is free, unlike some other HD games which you’ll have to buy before downloading.  Do have fun while playing the game.

Real Boxing Full Review
  Real Boxing was developed and published by Vivid games.  It was released on 18th September 2013.  The game is available on Android, IOS and PC.  I’ve played a lot of boxing games like Fight Night 2 and 3, Knockout Kings, etc.  Am a great fan of  boxing.  I love watching them on TV and also playing boxing games.  The only problem I had with boxing games was the graphics, I’d always wanted something real!!!  Years after the release of Real Boxing, I came across this awesome game and I was like…No!!! I’ve been missing a lot of fun.  My dream of playing a real boxing game has finally come true.
Real Boxing Android Game

  In Real Boxing, you’ll be playing as a novice, whose  aim is to beat the Pros, prove himself to the world and make it to the top as the World Champion.  The game allows you to choose a default boxer of your choice and customize his hairstyle, outfit, etc to fit your taste.  Though you can’t entirely create a new boxer, you have to choose from existing characters and transform them to new beings.  As a novice, you won’t be able to do most things; your performance are limited, until you advance to new stages.  You can also improve your performances by upgrading in the store.  It’ll cost you some bucks though.
  Real Boxing has options like quick matches, short campaign mode, mini-games, multiplayer, and of course, career mode; where you’ll start from the root and make your way to the top as a champion.  You can improve your performance by playing the training mini-games.  Prove to you friends that you’re a better boxer than they’re by challenging them in the multiplayer mode.

The game has an enhanced graphics with a technical game play.  Your major attack tactics are hooks, jabs, and uppercuts.  When your opponent strike, you either block or dodge to avoid damages.  The control isn’t bad as it features different modes such as the touch screen and analog stick.  If you aren’t okay with the touch screen control, try the analog control.  All the control schemes work greatly, kudos to Vivid Games for that.

  Despite the awesome game play of Real Boxing, the have a major issue of boxers names, just like Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 where players are assigned names which differ from their original names, perhaps, due to license issues.  So you won’t see great boxers to choose in the game.  This can make the game boring.

  As stated earlier, you can engage in mini-games to improve your speed, strength and stamina. After few rounds of mini-game training, you’ll get exhausted and won’t be motivated to play the mini-game anymore. Maybe, because the control isn’t hectic.  If you play Real Boxing over and over, you’ll realize that there are similarities between different characters, and also, the comments made by the announcer is the same.  But all these discrepancies can’t bring you down if you're a truly a fan of boxing games.  So you have to try the game.

Assassin's Creed : Altair's Chronicles
Assassin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles was developed and published by gameloft in 2008 on the Nintendo DS and in 2009 on iPhone. Then, it was not available on android, but later on, it was made available on android. Credits to gameloft for that. You might have played the game on java phones or Symbian, but the graphics are nothing to write home about compared to it’s android version. You’ll play the role of Altair and utterly destroy the Templar Knights. Help Altair in finding an artifact called "The Chalice," which has the ability to put the whole mess to an end. You also have to use your abilities as an assassin to find the Chalice. Moving above the roofs can prevent some harm but sometimes, you may be required to move down the streets for specific missions.

Assassin's Creed : Altair's Chronicles
 You’re provided with many weapons such as Altair’s default sword, hook and bombs. You also have a secret weapon (a hidden dagger) that is used to silently kill enemies and prevent the guards from raising alarm. During game play, you’ll collect a lot of blue orbs that can be used for upgrades like; expanding Altair's health bar and Altair’s sword.

 Coming to the controls, I have no issues with them. The game is quite obvious and easy to play. The jump button and combat buttons works pretty cool, although the shield button position is not that okay. The game helps you to perform some automated actions, like scrambling up a wall, but some jumps are not . Assassin's Creed is spectacular, and I know you will like to play it. The costume of Altair and the textures on his robes are enticing. I have played Assassin Creed on Java and Symbian, and they were fantastic. Playing it on my android phone is cool. I love every part of the game, especially Altairs’s silent kill. That is the best way of moving without being noticed. But if you miss the kill, you’re in a big trouble because other guards will be alerted and you’ll have to do the fighting.
Avatar : The Game
Avatar is a popular movie almost everyone have watched, quite an exciting film. But this time, gameloft has given you the opportunity to explore Pandora as they brings Avatar to mobile games. This review is based on android platform. I give kudos to gameloft for this wonderful game. The game is well produced and the game play reflects to actions that took place on the movie. Avatar is one of the top HD action movie games on Android platform. The game is obviously a photocopy of the incredible world of Pandora in an explosion of blues and greens that just pops off the screen.

Avatar : The Game
In this game, you will play as Ryan Lorenz, who was sent to the planet Pandora to help a massive corporation plunder it for the element of "unobtainium," (according to the movie). Along the line, Ryan sided the Na'vis as he fell in love with a female Na’vis, thus, turning against the human pirates. You will be exploiting the native cultures and beauty of Pandora, as well as fighting against the human pirates. During game play, you explore Pandora's lush jungles. At early stages, you will be fighting against hostile wildlife, as they try to eliminate you. But as you advance, you’ll acquire a Na'vi staff and bow. Advance more, and you will start battling human soldiers and their machines. I’ll say it’s basically three major stages. Avatar feature different game play tactics, from exploring on-foot to flying on the back of a dragon-like creator called Banshee. During game play, you can earn wisps which you can use for upgrades like extra health and more powerful attacks.

 The most fascinating scene on the game is the Na'vi village, which acts like a hub. In the village, you’ll embark on simple missions for the Na'vi, such as scouting and collecting. In the hub, you do a lot of things, and also interact with the Na’vi. The more missions you play, the more the hubs increase. There is also this horse-like creature you use to travel in the game. The creature is really cute. Though the game control buttons are responsive, but it poses problems of poor level design and camera. This leads to quick deaths if you’re not careful as the distance between gaps or obstacles is not clear. The good news is there many checkpoints, so you can continue from the last checkpoint in case of deaths.

Sonic Dash Android Game
  Sonic Dash is another hot runner game that is available in all devices.  Sonic is a famous and renowned game that existed many years ago and is still ranked ahead of other games in its genre. The game is pretty cool, especially its lucid graphics.  Unlike Subway Surfers which has restricted movement, Sonic Dash allows you to run round the environment.

  Sprint all the way as you dash, jump and spin your way across amusing environments. All you’ll be doing during game play is dashing over and under obstacles with a high speed. Dash below overhangs and through enemies, jump over spikes and wind your way through the environment.  It is certain that you’ll make a mistake as the game speed reaches its climax.  Just like most games, you can continue from when you stopped by acquiring a single red ring.
Sonic Dash Android Game

  In Sonic Dash, you have no single-player missions to complete.  Your main goal is to earn as more points as possible to beat you friends in the leader boards, and also beat your opponents.  You can purchase red rings to make your way through the top of the leader boards (if you're lazy), the red rings are premium so it's going to cost you some bucks.  Manipulation of the leader board makes the competition to lose its trust and integrity because you can't determine the best player among your friends.  They might buy their way through the top class on the leader board.

  Each level in Sonic Dash ends with you jumping over an obstacle and immediately landing off the enemy's sight.  And if you fail, you’re immediately asked if you want to spend a premium ring to continue.   You can store the standard golden rings you collect during a run, and use it to purchase  power-up boosts on the shop.  Just like Subway Surfers, Sonic Dash feature power-ups like; head starts, ring magnets and a super dash boost.  You can also purchase coin doubler on the store.  The game is nice.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012
On my last post on sports genre, I reviewed FIFA 2014. Today we shall take a look at another cool soccer game; Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 . To me, Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 is nowhere to be compared to EA’s FIFA 2014. Of course, I’ve always enjoyed PES 2012 on PlayStation, but FIFA 2014 surpasses the game in terms of graphics, controls, etc on android platform.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 Android

 Pro Evolution Soccer has an outstanding graphics, but the images appears blurred on larger screens. It also has a stunted animation and doesn’t flow well when running around the field. Recently, FIFA established swipe control techniques into its button presses, taking the 2 button virtual controls and adding some much needed options to the control scheme. You need to swipe more for a powerful shot. While on the other hand, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 only allow you to hold down the button for a long time to effect a more powerful shot. This makes the game play hectic. In FIFA 2014, you can chip the ball over a defender or send a player on the run and pass to him. But this is not possible in Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 . The control of the game was not designed to carry out such tasks.

 There are a many teams and leagues in Pro Evolution , but the disgusting thing about the game is some of the famous/major teams are absent. It’s obvious that some top clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool or there likes may not be found on the game. Though such teams may be marked with a different name like the Manchester United, are listed named “Man Red,” for reasons best known to them, maybe licensing I guess. So If you don’t take a vivid look at such name changes, you are likely to conclude that those teams are absent.

 Despite these discrepancies, PES 2012 has some fascinating features such as; super challenges, etc. As I stated initially, it’s graphics and game play comes up short against FIFA 12 . The game is not bad at all, just that it’s counterparts surpass it both in game play, control and graphics wise.  Unlike FIFA 2012/2014 which require a minimum RAM of 1gb, Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 doesn't need much RAM.  It can run smoothly on a device with only 512mb RAM.
Angry Birds Android Game
Hi guys. Today, am going to review an android game called Angry Birds. Angry Birds is a popular game that is available on many devices such as IOS, android etc. It has a simple game play, in the sense that it has simple controls and cool graphics. Angry birds was developed by Rovio Mobile.
Angry Birds Android Game

Let’s have a bit intro of Angry birds in case you're not familiar with this popular game. It’s quite a short story of some gangs of hungry pigs snatched away some eggs from birds. The poor mothers (The birds) were left with no choice than to embark on a rescue mission less their generation might the endangered. As I said earlier, the game play on the Android version is very simple. In each level, you will be provided with a fixed slingshot to fling the birds, that is, a single bird at a time, into the forts of the pigs in order to eradicate them. During game play, you will also be tasked with a secondary challenge of acquiring a three-star rating, which is dependent on the quantity of the pigs’ defensive materials you destroy. To achieve this task, you have to be perfect in your shooting skills. You only have about 4 attempts to make on each stage, so you ought to be perfect in your shooting.

 Each bird has it’s own unique ability,so during the game play you'll come across 6-7 birds, and each possesses a special power such as; multiply, explode, accelerate, dropping egg bombs, boomerang, and extra strength. But at the beginning of the game, only a single type of bird is available (with less power). When you advance, more birds would be provided to annul the difficulty of the stage. You will be given simple and lucid instructions when you begin the game with your companion kamikaze birds (which has special mid-flight abilities). The instructions are vivid in such a way that even a notice will find the game simple. Don’t get annoyed when the pigs laugh at you when you miss a shot. Funny right? of course it is.

 Compared to Maemo 5 and webOS versions of Angry Birds , you can’t get disappointed as the android look is better of other versions of the game. WebOS still runs on a low 480 x 320 resolution, resulting to the blurred graphics on the device. On the other hand, the Android version looks cool as it runs on a high resolution of up to 800 x 480.

Blood Brothers 2 android game update review
Blood Brothers 2 was published by DeNA few years back but has been updated with some new feature. One of such upgrades to the game is the new Guild system which is pretty much as it sounds. The Guild system allows players to merge together to create their own collective guilds. The game is also packed with a new chat function for the Guild system as players within the same guild can interact. Being a member of a guild also has some benefits to your character and game play.

Blood Brothers 2 android game
Guild members can now engage in shared 'Masteries', where all guild members contribute to collective statistic boosts and new skills. The fascinating thing about the guild system is when a new player joins a guild, he will be rewarded with everything the guild has earned so far, so new players won't be left behind, as he has nothing to lose. If any guild member makes an In-App purchase, all the guild members will receive an instant gift as regarding to the member's purchase.

There was also an upgrade on daily bonuses and rewards which include; daily Bonus Stages (seven daily dungeons rotate on a weekly basis, giving players an easier way to obtain rare items like Cavalry Souls, Undead Souls, Gold, and Gear), daily Themed Pacts (each day a new themed Pact will be available for players to purchase specific Commanders, including Race of the Day, Affinity of the Day and more) and random Rewards (on every stage completes, treasure boxes with a variety of in-game rewards will now be randomly dropped) There is also a new update called "From the Ashes". This is a new PvP- based series where players can compete in Arena Mode for substantial rewards like new Legendary Commanders. That is, if you are a member of a guild, all the points your guild you and your guild mates earn get you guys additional rewards for being one of the top guilds in the "From the Ashes" event secondary leader board. If you're still having an outdated version of blood brothers 2 on your android device, then it's time to download the update. And if you don't have the game on your device, go get it from google play store.
