The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will come in two variants (chipset+RAM) - one will have a Snapdragon 625 with 2GHz CPU and 3GB of RAM and one with Snapdragon 630 clocked at 2.2GHz packing 4GB RAM. Storage will be 16GB/32GB for the 3GB model and 64GB for the 4GB model. Both come with the option of microSD expansion and dual-SIM support.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will sport a 5-inch 1920x1080px IPS LCD, a 16MP rear camera and a 5 MP front shooter. Keeping the lights on is a 3,680mAh battery, which is a smaller pack than the Redmi 4's 4,100mAh unit.
The device will run MIUI 9.0 on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
